The Silent Love

We haven’t been acquainted since so many years
But your voice has finally reached my ears.
My day brightens with every thought of you
Just like sunlight hitting on the morning dew.
Still I do not get enough of you,
Hours with you slip by like minutes, only a few.

My feelings, how could I not tell?
While suppressing them felt like hell.
Showing you my love is not what I want to fear
Even if this is what you do not want to hear.

I want to feel you every time and everywhere,
In the light breeze caressing my hair,
In the darkness of the night,
In the dreams that reside in your twinkling eyes,
Looking in them had me utterly mesmerised,
By the beauty of every spark and their might.

You warm my winter with your laughter and smile
Even if it is just for a short while.
You make me contemplate my beauty in the rainfall
And your name, I’ll only call.
You make me fall in love
With you and with myself.
I’d search for you in the sky above
And the day I stop shall be my death.

We haven’t known each other for a really long time.
But I never thought one day you’d be the reason for my words to rhyme.
